Papatzul

Papatzul is a cosy Mexican restaurant in NYC's Soho. Unpretentious vibe with good, homestyle food. Loaded with flavour, decent portions without going overboard, well executed. Great Margaritas. When you just want a quiet, easy night out in the Big Apple - in a joint where laid back, comfortable surroundings and credible food outshines try hard glitz by a mile.
**We scoffed the guacamole and chips so quickly I forgot to photograph it - however it was damn good. And you all know what it looks like anyway...
Carnitas - soft tacos with pork confit and salsa fresco
enchiladas rojas de pollo gratinadas - chicken enchiladas with salsa roja and melted chihuahua cheese
Chiles en nogada - picadillo pork stuffed poblano chillies with creamy walnut sauce and pomegranate (special for that evening and dish of the night!)

Elote de Coyoacan - Corn with crema fresca, queso anejo and chile piquin/ Tacos de pescado estilo baja - Fish tacos Baja style
